Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary therapy that dates back to ancient Egypt, India and China. Reflexology works alongside conventional medicine and is recognised by the NHS, GPs and hospices. Reflexology works on the foundation that all organs and body systems are mirrored or reflected in smaller peripheral areas in the feet, hands and ears, these areas are often referred to as ‘reflex points’.
There are over seven thousands nerve endings in each foot, these nerve endings are linked to internal organs and body systems, by stimulating these nerves using thumbs, fingers and other specialist techniques it sends information to the brain via the nervous system to encourage the body’s own healing process, reduce pain and anxiety and promote relaxation, improves circulation and much more.....!
Reflexology is a wonderful calming, relaxing therapy treatment which helps optimise the body's own healing mechanisms.
Reflexology is suitable for all ages and stages of life and can bring relief to a wide range of both acute and chronic conditions.
Benefits:

As a professional reflexologist, I treat the whole person, however, I do not claim to cure or diagnose conditions.
What to expect ?
Your initial consultation will include a free phone consultation, we will discuss your needs and I will ask you for information that will help me formulate a treatment plan for you. This information will be kept confidential and I will ask you to sign a GDPR form and a consent form at your first appointment.
I would recommend to wear loose comfortable clothing on the day to be able to keep you as comfortable as possible.
You will be asked to remove your shoes and socks only.
You will be made comfortable on the massage couch, alternatively I have a Lafuma reclining chair if more preferable.
I will start by cleansing your feet and apply a natural foot balm, I will then use my hands to apply pressure to your feet and lower leg, some areas may be tender and some sensations can be felt throughout the body too.
Generally you should find the experiencing relaxing but some areas of imbalance may show up as tender spots but I always work within my clients comfort zone.
